Oversized guest rooms. Wildlife sanctuary. Restaurant & lounge. Free town trolley. Bird watching. And the list goes on! If you are looking for a unique Alaskan experience and the opportunity to meet a few friendly Alaskans devoted to guest service, Bear Lodge is the place to be. Guests are invited to wander the nearby nature trails at Creamer's Field Migratory Waterfowl Refuge & Wedgewood Wildlife Sanctuary, capture unique photo opportunities (bush plane, genuine piece of the Alaska Pipeline, giant cabbages, log cabin…), and visit the northernmost Alaska Bird Observatory, located on the resort property. In addition, there is nothing else like it in Alaska, the Fountainhead Antique Auto Museum is a must see for all ages while in Fairbanks and all Fountainhead Hotel guests only $4 admission. Historic photos, videos of Alaska's earliest autos and vintage fashion exhibits complete the visit.
The Lodge features artwork by Alaskan artists, an excellent restaurant, a cozy lounge and a popular internet cafe & gift shop.
