Position Title:  Server                                                                                    

 

Position Summary:

Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional manner.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:                                                                          

§   Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

§   Assist guests in a professional manner.

§   Remain calm under pressure during busy shifts.

§   Set up and maintain breakfast and lunch buffets. (AM shift)

§   Describe menu items to guests and take orders from menu.

§   Serve food and beverages to guests.

§   Wine & alcohol service, opening and presentation.  (PM staff)

§   All staff 21 or older must have alcohol server education training within 30 days of hire.  (TAMS or TIPS certified.)

§   Operate POS System.

§   Balance revenue at end of shift.

§   Complete side work, including assisting in the kitchen, refilling salt & pepper shakers, etc.

§   Bus and reset tables.

§   Other duties as assigned            

 

Will work at one of the following locations:

§                     Bridgewater Hotel (Seasonal, mid May thru mid September – breakfast only)

§                     Wedgewood Resort (Seasonal, mid May thru mid September)

§                     Sophie Station Hotel (Seasonal, mid May thru mid September, and year round)

 

Education, Knowledge and Skills:

§                     Six months previous dining room experience.

§                     TAMS or TIPS certified (21 or older) and knowledge of alcoholic beverages a plus.

Uniform:                    Khaki pants and employer provides shirt

 

Minimum Age:          16 AM shift/ 21 PM shift    

 

All employees must meet employer’s professional grooming standards.
