" I stayed at Sophie Station and really enjoyed having a whole suite to myself. The price was less than a single room at other places in Fairbanks. With two doors between the hotel hallway and my room, it was very quiet. Actually, it was almost too quiet. I turned on the bathroom fan for 'white' noise when going to sleep. The bed was firm, which was helpful for my bad back. The pillows were 'squishy,' which meant I could adjust the thickness - also good for my back. A lot of other hotels have pillows that are too thick. The cleaning people did a good job. I treated myself to one breakfast in the restaurant and it was excellent! I think I will eat breakfast in the restaurant more often on my next visit, then just have snacks for lunch to save money. I also ate one dinner there at the hotel and it was very good. I don't travel to Fairbanks often, but I would stay at Sophie Station again in the fall or winter. If I'm there in the spring or summer, though, I plan to try your place near Creamer's Field so I can go bird watching."  - October 2011, Anchorage
