"We stayed during UAF graduation weekend. The hotel was clean, friendly, and comfortable. I appreciate the quiet atmosphere for rest and relaxation. The front desk staff was great -- pleasant and helpful." - May 2013 - R. Huhta, Unalakleet "Clean, roomy, convenient, friendly staff. Outstanding restaurant and fabulous Joe the barkeeper. Appreciated the Aurora wakeup call." - March 2013 - B. Steele, Connecticut "Fantastic stay - All hotel staff were kind and courteous and any request was attended to without delay and with super efficiency" - March 2013 - C. Gantz, Brisbane, Australia "We had a great time during our stay. The staff members were friendly, knowledgeable and informative. Our suite was big, bright and clean. It was really, nicely furnished and equipped. Some things are a little dated, but I would take scrubbed clean and not quite the latest and greatest over a little dirty every time. You walk into a large kitchen, everything you need is in there. A large coat closet is in the entry way. Next a handy desk across from a high bar with 2 stools. The livingroom has a big TV, couch, chair, tables and cozy lamps. The bedroom is spacious with a chair, large dresser and again side tables with lamps. The double slider mirrored closet is large with shelves above for more storage. The vanity has lots of counter space. The toilet and tub are privately tucked away in a room by themselves. Even in the coldest part of winter, the suite was warm and toasty. We will definitely be staying here again. And…Fairbanks is such a nice little town, you'll love it." - January 2013, Pugh - Anchorage "We REALLY enjoyed our 2 stays at Sophie Station Suites Dec 8-11 and 15-17. The rooms were very comfortable and well equipped with all the features you'd find in much more expensive accommodations. We did use the kitchen for breakfast 2 mornings since the hotel restaurant (Zach's) was closed on the weekends during the winter months. Our evening dining experience on the weekends was met by eating in the Express Room Lounge and was very enjoyable. We were able to eat in Zach's for 2 breakfast and 2 evening meals and will say Zach's is on par with any fine restaurant. The food and service was excellent. The front desk staff was very helpful and informative and even went above and beyond by taking our photo outside next to the thermometer that showed -40 degrees. We highly recommend a stay and we will the next time we are in Fairbanks." - December 2012, Daphne, Alabama "I enjoyed my stay! I appreciated the wakeup call to see the Northern Lights. Ryan Lee escorted me to the back of the hotel for the best view. I found it very nice to have a local there to speak with while I watched the show." - October 2012, Rogers, Arkansas "Excellent accommodations, friendly and helpful staff." - August 2012, Cochranville, Pennsylvania |
